Very little information is presently available about Georg Allmendinger. The following comes from the Pape & Kellner Archive.

Georg G. Allmindinger had a Gun and Music shop at No. 15 on Gerberstrasse in Göppingen where did Gunsmithing and sold hunting and target weapons, pistols & revolvers and ammunition. It is documented that the business was open from 1925 to 1945 when it was taken over by Ehrenfried Schneider, perhaps at the time of Georg Allmendinger’s passing.

The one firearm to come to light so far is a single shot stalking rifle made by Fr. Langenhan of Zella-Mehlis. It is 7.5 x 48 caliber with a 26 inch octagon barrel, a simple bead front sight (which may not be original) and a two leaf rear sight. It was proofed in Nov. of 1927.

The unknown owner of the rifle shown sent the images to Dietrich Apel who saved them in his digital archive where I found them when I took over this web site. This rifle was later sold by the Cady Auction and Appraisal firm on 8/27/2017 for $750.00
